About Me
I am an experienced teacher of English as a second language (ESL) with experience in teaching adult learners. I earned my M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at California State University, Los Angeles in 2015, and I also have a B.A. in Second Language Studies (a branch of applied linguistics with a particular focus on language pedagogy) that I earned at University of Hawai'i at Manoa.
I am currently a self-employed ESL tutor based in northern San Diego with experience in teaching adult learners at all proficiency levels. I also have years of experience in teaching classroom-based ESL courses in all skill areas across all proficiency levels for international students in an intensive English program. I am a dedicated language education professional who looks to empower language learners through the use of diverse language learning strategies to compliment the language content. By doing so, I hope to help students to attain their academic and communicative language goals as more confident and competent speakers, readers, and writers of English.
